August 16 LaundryLaundry.......
I look at the mountain of dirty clothes on the floor and dread spending the day doing it. It wouldn't be as bad a day if I wouldn't have been avoiding it in the first place, but I made my pile and now I have to deal with it.
I found a little Nursery Rhyme that makes me appreciate that I have my wonderful washing machine and dryer.
The old woman must stand at the tub, tub, tub, The dirty clothes to rub, rub, rub, But when they are clean, and fit to be seen, She'll dress like a lady, and dance on the green. August 12 PebblesWe decided to head to Eastern Washington for a spur of the moment camping trip. We camped on the Methow river on property that Eric's mom owns. The weather was wonderful and although there were forest fires burning in some area, it didn't cause any problems where we were. Eric decided he needed snorkeling gear and had a blast with the dogs in the river. My favorite thing to do at the river is read and collect pebbles and river rocks. Ever since the kids were little we would collect rocks and paint them. We have quiet the collection surrounding the trailer and grandma's house! The kids are almost grown and don't seem to want to paint rocks anymore, but I just can't stop myself from collecting and painting. Every smooth stone has a alter ego just waiting to pop out! Here are a few........ |
